DashPhone Application Server™
DashPhone Application Server (DAS) is a powerful device-agnostic J2EE-based XML framework
for development, deployment, and translation of XML applications for IP phones and
mobile devices.
DAS is comprised of a set of Class Libraries and a Runtime Platform.
The core component of DAS is its Device Abstraction Engine (DAE).
DAE hides the complexities of working with different IP phones and mobile
devices manufactured by different vendors. Cisco IP phones, for example,
use XML for data communication while Avaya phones use WML.
DAE provides a ubiquitous API to all IP phone applications written
in the DAS framework.
